Sripriya Padmanabhan is a Partner at Quasar Legal with over 12 years of experience in Intellectual Property & Commercial laws. Her primary focus of work involves commercial laws, intellectual property, media & entertainment, sports law, digital media & content, privacy & data protection, pre-litigation strategies, internet & e-commerce.

Sripriya handles various aspects of IP work including trademarks, copyrights, designs, confidential information, and provides suitable expertise in registrability, enforcement, and management. She works with a wide range of clients, which include start-ups, multinational corporations, partnerships, societies, etc., across various industries like fashion, F&B, IT, media, pharmaceutical, retail, etc.

As part of the Media & Entertainment practice, she works closely with actors, directors, singers, artists, music & film production houses, and has advised and worked on several transactions such as artist agreements, license & assignment agreements, digital distribution, celebrity endorsement, talent management.

She has advised clients in technology-related transactions pertaining to the development, license and commercialization of software and related products. She has also assisted clients with creating and updating policies that are compliant with data privacy laws. She has further represented clients across various sectors on transactions pertaining to franchise, licensing and assignment.

She has attended several conferences such as International Trademark Association, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), All About Music, Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA), ITech Law. She was a member of the Non-Traditional Marks- India-Sub-Committee (2020-21), INTA.

She enjoys singing at karaoke. She’s a sports enthusiast and has participated in several TSD Rallies.
